OK, NPR, you got me. This morning, before I had coffee, before I was fully awake, I found myself doing a double take for just a second as I was puttering around and heard a spot for one of their new sponsors the Soylent Corporation, which makes protein supplements. They were advertising the new addition to their product line ~ Soylent Green.
What, to you, is the first sign of spring? Have you seen it yet?

Growing up, I was told robins were always the first sign of spring, but now living in San Francisco...not so much. So I give you these things from North Carolina instead. Big white puffy trees, forsythia, and pansies. Oh yeah, and honey bee butt!
When do you file your taxes? Do you do it yourself or get outside help?
I had only admitted this to Amanda via PM before (since she has similar issues), but mine were done and submitted the night of Feb 1st. What can I say? I either like to know what I owe so I can plan for it, or I want to get my money back ASAP. And mine aren't that tough, a couple hours with some papers, TurboTax online, online filing, and voila. To be completely honest ~ I actually kind of enjoy doing my taxes.
Do you buy products made locally? Is there anything made in your area that you love?
Many Saturday mornings I'm at the SF farmer's market at the Ferry Building. Most of my non-meal food pictures come from there. Any local things I love ~ Acme, Cowgirl, Peet's ~ sure!
